Ice Fishing keeping warm

Choosing clothes for ice fishing its very important to stay warm in all weather weather conditions. Always dress in layers as its easier to take off cloths when to warm . THe reason why layers of clothes works is that each item of clothing traps air between them .This means that the air can be warmed up by your body - its the same principle as double glazing

Perspiration - If you have a bit of a walk do not over dress as perspiration can soon build up and once you stop the cool with cut right done to your bones . So once you arrive add your extra items of clothing for your ice fishing trip

Looking after your poor feet . Never wear soft sided boots or any general boots as these are not insulated or can not be water proof . You only have one set of toes do not loose them to frost bite . The best Ice fishing boots are water poof and thermal keeping you feet nice and warm . As a side note make sure they have good grip and can take augers if required

Hypothermia will an can kill . This is where the bodies own heat drops to a dangerous level . So keep warm by great clothing / blankets and drink warm fluid
